New Members Class + Flourish Class = Flourish DNA
One of the primary purposes of the church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. At Cornerstone, we believe becoming a disciple of Jesus is SO MUCH more than a single moment of confession to sin and faith. That is a great start, in that we’re indeed saved by faith alone, and grace alone, through Christ alone. But what does becoming a disciple of Jesus look like for the rest of your life? Your faith testifies that you have been “saved” (justified) but what does it look like to be more like Jesus (sanctified) and equipped to endure the years and decades ahead? How do we heed the warnings of Scripture to not “fall away” (Hebrews 3:12-19), or “abandon the love that you had at first” (Revelation 2:4), or not become unfruitful because it’s so easy to be distracted by “the cares of the world” (Mark 4:19)? What is the role of the church, specifically, Cornerstone Community Church, in helping you (and your family) finish the race and faithfully live a life that matters–one that glorifies God and enjoys Him forever?
At Cornerstone, we want to see you flourish in your relationship with Jesus because we believe that flourishing in Christ (abiding in Him) will produce faithful disciples who make disciples–disciples that are discovering together that Jesus is indeed better than everything in every way.
The first step in the Discipleship Process at Cornerstone – whether you’re a new believer or a veteran of the faith – is to take the Flourish DNA class.
Four Goals of the Class:
